The phosphorus level test may be used in the diagnosis of various bone and renal diseases, along with other tests including calcium, parathyroid hormone (PTH), and/or vitamin D. Although administration of BJIGT at a dose of 500 mg/kg/day increased the serum inorganic phosphorus (IP) level, it did not affect serum Ca level or the weights of the thymus, thyroid, and parathyroid glands. Here, PTH is linked to kidney disorder.
