The incidence rates of cataract diagnosis in our study seemed to be slightly higher (overall 20.4 per 1000 person-years (py) vs. 11.7 and 17.8 per 1000 py, for non-insulin treated T2DM and insulin-treated T2DM respectively, in the study by Janghorbani et al. [11]. Here, INS is linked to type 2 diabetes mellitus.
