In contrast, veterinary studies have shown that hypercoagulability identified with ROTEM analysis does not appear to be correlated with hypoalbuminemia [25–27], and only a weak correlation between serum albumin concentration and antithrombin activity has been identified in hypercoagulable dogs, indicating that albumin level cannot reliably predict it [25–27, 43, 44].
