MBP is a candidate autoantigen in MS [4,5,6,7,8], with the MBP86–95 peptide representing an immunodominant epitope centre for human autoantibody binding and T-cell recognition [9], and this epitope has been used for the development of selective peptide-specific immunotherapeutics for MS [10,11,12,13,14]. This evidence concerns the gene MBP and myeloid sarcoma.
