Considering the potent anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of H2S (Aminzadeh and Vaziri, 2012[3]), it seems that NaHS may, in part, contribute to confine CKD progression by NF-κB and cleaved caspase-3 down-regulation after 5/6 nephrectomy. Here, NFKB1 is linked to chronic kidney disease.
