IL17A and asthma: We evaluated the effects of inhibition of IL-17 in the present study, using an anti-IL-17 monoclonal antibody, on distal pulmonary parenchyma responses characterized by the infiltration of inflammatory cells, differential release of cytokines and chemokines, oxidative stress, extracellular matrix remodeling, signaling pathways, and IL-6 gene expression in an experimental model of LPS-exacerbated asthma.
