Interestingly, GO analysis revealed that E2 causes TDG binding and upregulation of genes involved in “Wnt signaling,” in addition to other proliferation-related categories such as multiple GO terms referencing “differentiation.” This is consistent with previous studies showing that TDG plays a critical role in the progression of colorectal cancer by upregulating components of Wnt signaling pathway in a CBP/p300-dependent manner. This evidence concerns the gene TDG and colorectal cancer.
