The results showed that GW9662 itself did not affect the disease symptoms of mice with colitis, but significantly weakened bergenin-mediated regulation of levels of IL-6, TNF-α, acetylated NF-κB-p65, SIRT1 and nuclear translocation of NF-κB-p65 in colons, and consequent anti-colitis effect. This evidence concerns the gene SIRT1 and colitis.
