Netrin-1 and its receptors, deleted in colorectal cancer (DCC) and uncoordinated gene 5H2 (UNC5H2), are highly expressed in the central nervous system from embryonic development through adulthood (Serafini et al., 1996; Strähle et al., 1997; Sim et al., 1999; Manitt et al., 2006; Birey and Aguirre, 2015). This evidence concerns the gene UNC5B and colorectal cancer.
