IL17B and breast carcinoma: Together with the demonstration that IL-17RB signaling is associated with in vitro resistance to etoposide in breast cancer cell lines [12], our results indicate that the IL-17B/IL-17RB pathway can modulate the cytotoxic effect of drugs that act through at least two independent mechanisms: topoisomerase II inhibition (etoposide) and spindle poisoning (paclitaxel).
