Despite a very low level of circulating CAR T cells after 1 week, mice treated with CD19-CD28z-IL-12 or CD19-41BBz-IL-12 CAR T cells displayed a reduction in tumor growth at 3 weeks, followed by eradication of systemic B cell lymphoma in long-term survival of 26% and 22% of mice, respectively (Figures 5C and 5D).
