CX3CL1 and neoplasm: We have therefore postulated that under tumour-promoting conditions, cancer cells can induce angiogenic factors-driven inflammation in endothelium by inducing the transcription factor GATA3 binding to the CX3CL1 gene that would disrupt expression during this type of inflammation, enabling other chemokines, such as CCL2 to foster proangiogenic monocyte extravasation.
