HBP1 was reported to be a tumor repressor in several cancers including prostate cancer, non-small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC) and breast cancer17,32–34, in which it also induced cell cycle arrest and promoted cell apoptosis by inhibiting Wnt/β-catenin pathway signal transduction18,20,21. This evidence concerns the gene HBP1 and Familial prostate cancer.
