A unique family of acidosis/pH-sensing heterotrimeric GPCRs has been identified and characterized as extracellular proton sensors and is comprised of G protein-coupled receptor 4 (GPR4), T cell death-associated gene 8 (TDAG8 or GPR65), ovarian cancer G protein-coupled receptor 1 (OGR1 or GPR68), and G protein-coupled receptor G2 accumulation (G2A or GPR132) [152,153,154,155,156,157,158]. This evidence concerns the gene GPR65 and ovarian cancer.
