The increase of A-to-I RNA editing activities in infections with some influenza A virus (H1N1 and H3N2) is linked to the up-regulation of ADAR1 but not ADAR2, through RIG-I like receptors (DDX58/RIG-I, IFIH1/MDA-5, DHX58/LGP-2) and Toll-like receptors (TLR2, TLR3) in innate immune system. This evidence concerns the gene ADAR and infection.
