The expression of CD8 in the lamina propria was superior for celiac disease (112.0 ± 39.9 cells/mm2) than for NCGS and negative controls (55.9 ± 22.8 and 78.1 ± 18.9 cells/mm2, resp., p < 0.001, Figure 3(e)). Here, CD8A is linked to celiac disease.
