Recently, a high expression of Caspase 9 and 3 was observed in the uterus of female mice exposed to ZEA (0.1 mg/kg) [35], while it has reported that the apoptosis of ovarian granulosa cells caused by ZEA (5 mg/kg) mycotoxicosis in Sprague Dawley (SD) rats is mainly by upregulating the expression of BAX, and the effect of BCL-2 is not obvious [36]. Here, BAX is linked to mycotoxicosis.
