To target prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA), Moon et al. [42] encapsulated IONP with amphiphiles containing PEG, DOTA, and PSMA-targeting ligand and radiolabeled them with 68Ga. In vivo PET and MR imaging experiments in mouse prostate cancer xenograft models revealed specific probe accumulation at tumor site. This evidence concerns the gene FOLH1 and prostate carcinoma.
