We also observed a significant increase of sulfenic acid-modified wild-type SOD1 level in CSF of sporadic ALS patients, compared to age-matched controls (0.185 ± 0.042 in sporadic ALS versus 0.125 ± 0.012 in controls, p = 0.0019) (Fig. 7g). This evidence concerns the gene SOD1 and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
