Peripheral blood T lymphocytes from patients with CHCV infections displayed decreased expression of the markers CD45RA, CD27, and CD28 (33.8 vs. 54.2% in healthy controls, p = 0.004, 83.0 vs. 95.2% in healthy controls, p = 0.009, and 77.6 vs. 90.1% in healthy controls, p = 0.002, respectively; Figure 7D).
