The age and proportions of hypertension and liver cirrhosis, total bilirubin level, LS value, and the values of three prediction models (PAGE-B, LSM-HCC, and mREACH-B) were significantly higher in patients who developed HCC than in those who did not (all P < 0.05), whereas serum albumin level, ALT level, and platelet count were significantly lower in patients who developed HCC (all P < 0.05). This evidence concerns the gene ALB and cirrhosis of liver.
