In contrast to a previous study which reported that overexpression of mechanical barrier molecule genes (DST, DSC3, DSP, PPL, PKP3, JUP, FLG, and TACSTD2) correlated with decreased CD8 T-cell infiltration in human melanoma and ovarian carcinoma10, our study demonstrates that overexpression of desmosome genes correlates with higher CD8 T-cell infiltration in lung adenocarcinoma. This evidence concerns the gene DSP and lung adenocarcinoma.
