In the present study, we demonstrated that CC-MSCs increase the activation of AKT in colorectal cancer cells, and this effect was shown to be partly attenuated in the presence of IL-6 antibody, implying that CC-MSCs-secreted IL-6 promotes the migration and invasion of colorectal cancer cells through the signal pathways associated with tumor metastasis. This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and neoplasm.
