A systematic review evaluating the expression of uPA, urokinase plasminogen activator receptor (uPAR), PAI-1/SerpinE1 and PAI-2/SerpinB2 on primary esophageal, the gastro-esophageal junction, and gastric adenocarcinomas was reported and indicated that a high expression of uPA, uPAR and PAI-1 was associated with a higher risk of disease and poorer prognosis [38]. The gene discussed is SERPINB2; the disease is gastric adenocarcinoma.
