Unsupervised hierarchical clustering separated Myc-induced squamous tumors from non-squamous tumors (Fig 1D) and importantly gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA) showed that Myc induced squamous tumors were significantly enriched for upregulation of the squamous signature genes derived from the MMTV-PyMT tumor dataset (Fig 1E, Normalized Enrichment Score or NES = 1.48, nominal p-value = 0.0, FDR q-value = 0.029, fwer p-value = 0.016).
