Furthermore, breast cancer in the absence of LS-associated cancers was reported more frequently in women with PVs in MSH6 or PMS2 (MSH6: 18.6%, 26/140; PMS2: 29.0%, 36/124) compared to women with PVs in MLH1 or MSH2 (MLH1: 3.1%, 2/65; MSH2: 4.3%, 4/94) (p < 0.001) (Figure 1b). This evidence concerns the gene MLH1 and breast cancer.
