FLI1 and Paris-Trousseau thrombocytopenia: Thrombocytopenia of the Paris-Trousseau type (TCPT) was the final diagnosis of another patient, due to the loss of the FLI1 gene caused by a complex unbalanced translocation: this condition is usually not transmitted as a monogenic trait, but it is due to subtle deletions of the region of chromosome 11 containing the FLI1 gene.
