CD14 and asthma: The percentages of PM2K+CD14+ and PM2K+CD14− cells were found to be significantly lower in subjects with asthma (mean ± SEM; 1.3 ± 0.1% and 1.3 ± 0.2%, respectively), when compared to those of normal healthy controls (1.6 ± 0.1% and 2.1 ± 0.2%, respectively) (Fig. 3a).
