If we applied Bonferroni’s correction [a P value of <2.03 × 10−6 (0.05/24,579 SNPs)], the association of two SNPs (rs2305830 of CEP164 and rs4141253 of RPH3A) with the prevalence of MetS was significant (P = 8.4 × 10−7 to 1.9 × 10−6). The gene discussed is RPH3A; the disease is metabolic syndrome.
