Angiogenic factor with G patch and FHA domains 1 (AGGF1) was initially identified as a novel angiogenic factor with the ability to the initiation of angiogenesis and maintenance of the vascular network [7] AGGF1 was first characterized as a susceptibility protein in Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome, a congenital vascular disease characterized by malformations of capillary, venous and lymphatic vessels, and bony and soft tissue hypertrophy [8]. This evidence concerns the gene AGGF1 and Klippel-Trénaunay syndrome.
