Afshar-Oromieh et al. (2014) used an 68Ga-labeled HBED-CC conjugate of the PSMA-specific pharmacophore Glu-NH-CO-NH-Lys (“68Ga-PSMA-11”), and detected at least one lesion characteristic for prostate cancer in 86.5% of patients, but only in 26 of 37 (70.3%) patients with 18FEC PET/CT. This evidence concerns the gene FOLH1 and prostate carcinoma.
