However, NIMA (Never in Mitosis Gene A)-Related Kinase 2 (NEK2), Apoptosis Inhibitor Survivin (BIRC5) and Topoisomerase (DNA) II Alpha (TOP2A) were found to be amplified in breast cancer (12, 6.3, and 5.4%, respectively) (Fig. 5b), suggesting a high potential role for them as therapeutic targets in luminal A patients.
