Among patients with SLE (N = 227), the three urine protein markers correlated significantly with the total SLEDAI (angiostatin, Rho 0.60, p < 0.001; CXCL4, Rho 0.46, p < 0.001; VCAM-1, Rho 0.53, p < 0.001), renal SLEDAI (angiostatin, Rho 0.66, p < 0.001; CXCL4, Rho 0.45, p < 0.001; VCAM-1: Rho 0.51, p < 0.001) and PGA score (angiostatin: Rho 0.54, p < 0.001; CXCL4, Rho 0.45, p < 0.001; VCAM-1, Rho 0.56, p < 0.001). The gene discussed is PF4; the disease is systemic lupus erythematosus.
