KLF4 and Familial prostate cancer: Notably, we found that 20 differentially regulated genes from our microarray analysis matched proteomic analysis of extracellular proteins from atherosclerotic plaques [24], with a striking 19 out of these 20 mRNAs having higher expression in myeloid cells obtained from prostate cancers growing in Lys-Cre;Klf4(f/f) compared with the Klf4(f/f) hosts.
