However, among 38 patients with stage III breast cancer, higher PALB2 expression (IHC score ≥ 1.5, 11 samples) was found to be associated with poorer overall survival compared with those with lower PALB2 expression (IHC score < 1.5, 27 samples) as suggested by the log‐rank test for the Kaplan–Meier plot of the overall survival time for cancer (P = 0.004, Fig. 3A). This evidence concerns the gene PALB2 and breast cancer.
