Our study suggests that asthma is significantly associated with higher DMRs within the promoter region of Foxp3 as well as region 3 of intron 4 of IL10. In addition, DMRs in the promoter region of Foxp3 are positively linked with average exposure to CO, NO2, and PM2.5 during the 90 days prior to the blood draw. The gene discussed is FOXP3; the disease is asthma.
