We were also able to present triangular relationships between DNA methylation, gene expression, and obesity at 5 genes including SOCS3, CISH, PIM3, KLF4, and HRASLS2. With the exception of HARSLS2, obesity was associated with decreased DNA methylation level and increased gene expressions. The gene discussed is CISH; the disease is obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
