IFNAR1 and tuberculosis: Mice deficient in IFNAR1 (Ifnar1−/−) have reduced pathogen loads in response to intracellular bacterial infection7,9–14, and administration of type I IFN-inducing poly: (IC) exacerbates listeriosis and tuberculosis (TB) in wild-type (WT), but not Ifnar1−/− mice11,15.
