MST1 and sclerosing cholangitis: One of the most explicit examples of the utility of ShinyGPA to uncover novel pleiotropic effects is that of the MST1-CAMKV region at 3p21.31; while the region is associated with CD, UC, primary sclerosing cholangitis, blood protein levels, and educational attainment, the top 21 shared SNPs (FDR < 0.1) are associated with two new traits: resting heart rate and age at first birth.
