This has been corroborated by marked enhancement of anti-PD activity in 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine (MPTP)-treated marmosets administered with combination therapy consisting of KW-6002 (an adenosine A2A receptor antagonist, Ki hA2A = 12 nM, Fig 1) and L-DOPA or of KW-6002 and quinpirole (a dopamine D2 receptor agonist, Ki D2 = 4.8 nM, Fig 1) [12].
