Moreover, a deeper analysis (Ingenuity Pathway Analysis) of the regulated genes between vemurafenib-treated melanoma lines and the lines treated with DMSO, revealed many genes involved in the cell cycle regulation (Cyclins and checkpoints regulators) or DNA damage response (ATM, p53) which could be expected after a treatment with an inhibitor of the MAPK pathway such as vemurafenib. This evidence concerns the gene ATM and melanoma.
