To examine the roles of clathrin-dependent endocytic pathway in the enhancement of EV71-infection by CPZ, we performed siRNA knockdown of the AP2M1, CLTC, DNM2 and FCHO2 (the reported crucial CME components [23]) in A549 and RD cells and tested the viral infectivity with additional CPZ treatment. The gene discussed is CLTC; the disease is infection.
