Still, this is in line with the idea that KCa3.1 has an oncogenic potential in melanoma, in this regard similar to earlier reports on pro-proliferative and/or pro-migratory roles and cancer progression promoting role in several other solid cancers, like breast, lung, kidney, and pancreatic cancer [23,38,39,40], as well as in chronic lymphocytic leukemia [41].
