TP53 and breast carcinoma: In these tumor types, the possible existence of correlations between IKKβ expression and any biological or clinical variable is not known but in concordance with the previously mentioned association between low expression of IKBKB and mutations in TP53 in breast cancer, overexpression of IKBKB in breast cancer correlates negatively with TP53 mutation but positively with ER-positive status (p < 0.0001, Fisher’s exact test, both for data in the METABRIC and TCGA (provisional) breast cancer cohorts).
