There was no significant association between XRCC1 gene Arg194Trp polymorphism and pancreatic cancer risk (allelic model, OR 1.223, 95% CI 0.939–1.592, P = 0.136; heterozygous model, OR 1.229, 95% CI 0.881–1.713, P = 0.225; homozygous model, OR 1.140, 95% CI 0.832–1.563, P = 0.414; dominant model, OR 1.247, 95% CI 0.900–1.726, P = 0.184; recessive model, OR 1.130, 95% CI 0.831–1.534, P = 0.436). This evidence concerns the gene XRCC1 and familial pancreatic carcinoma.
