The patients who died were older and with complication (arrhythmia and cardiac shock) than the survivors and had significantly higher plasma BNP levels (P<0.0001), and Gensini scores (P=0.013), WMI (P<0.001), no-reflow (P<0.001), and also significantly different in GRACE score (P<0.001). Here, NPPB is linked to cardiac arrhythmia.
