ABL1 and acute lymphoblastic leukemia: The recent World Health Organization classification of acute leukemias considers subdivision of ALL types on the basis of cytogenetic and molecular abnormalities among which is B-cell lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma with the t(9;22)(q34;q11.2)/Philadelphia chromosome and BCR-ABL1 rearrangement (Ph+ ALL) (Arber et al., 2016[1]).
