In addition, circulating omentin levels were also dramatically reduced in renal cell cancer [51]; however, other cancers, such as malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM) [52], hepatic carcinoma [53], prostate cancer [54], colon and colorectal cancer [55,56], gastric cancer [57], and pancreatic adenocarcinoma [58] were associated with increased omentin levels.
