FOLH1 and renal cell adenocarcinoma: PSMA is not entirely prostate-specific, and it is expressed physiologically in normal cells including the small intestine, proximal renal tubulus, thyroid neoplasms, salivary and lacrimal glands (with potential impact on the side effect profile when used as targeting molecule) but also in other cancers such as renal cell cancer [9] due to an overexpression of PSMA on cancer-related neovascular structures.
