Recent data suggest that Th17 cells and the mainly effective factor—IL‐17 play an important role in host immune responses to the conditions of inflammation, autoimmunity, and allergic reactions 9, 10, 11, 12, and may be involved in viral infection and the pathogenesis of its associated diseases 13, 14, 15, 16, 17. This evidence concerns the gene IL17A and viral infectious disease.
